I truthfully do not know what has happened in the last few years, however it turns out that my mom has definitely chilled out.
Growing up, he was a bit..… Difficult.
She’s consistently been severely uneasy and neurotic. As such there have been many challenges with us on a personal level. His energy was consistently tough for me to be around and his controlling nature made it definitely tough for anyone to grow up in the same house as her. I have to say, now that I am a grown adult and he is entering seasoned age, my mom is suddenly super cool. Maybe too cool. You see, when I was a child I remember that he certainly hated using the central heating and cooling system. She was so uptight about spending money that he refused to operate the forced air heating system or air conditioner component unless it was certainly necessary. This meant, unless the house was literally frigid or boiling hot, my associate and I weren’t going to touch the thermostat; Recently, I have been visiting his and everything has changed. If I mention that I am uncomfortable, he genuinely offers to adjust the central heating and cooling system settings instantly. These afternoons, he definitely appreciates his central cooling system to the extent that I am uncomfortably cold. After so many Summers of burning up, unable to sleep in my covered in sweat sheets because he wouldn’t use the AC unit… Now he blasts the house with ice frigid air until I put on multiple layers of sweatshirts and blankets. I don’t know what happened with his HVAC preferences, however Mom seriously has gotten way too chill for my comfort.
