I have become much more knowledgeable on HVAC systems

I have lived in very warm and very cold climates.

I have experienced a snowstorm, two hurricanes, a flood, a tornado and about every type of severe weather that you can think of. I always seem to have to adjust my home when it comes to facing these types of weather conditions. When there’s a hurricane I like to take all of the furniture away from the windows. I like to board up my windows with wood. During a snowstorm I make sure that my HVAC system is prepped and ready to go to take on the winner. I don’t want to have to be stuck in the middle of a snowstorm and have no heat in my home for a few days because my HVAC system failed on me. When there was a flood I had to make sure that I moved my valuable and most important items of mine to my second floor of my home. During a tornado I had to make sure that my windows were all boarded up and my family and I were protected and safe. We would go downstairs in our basement and stay away from windows and doors and hide in the corner. Facing these different weather conditions have allowed me to become more knowledgeable about my home. For example I have been much more knowledgeable with my HVAC system since I’ve had to program my thermostat to match the weather conditions outside. Being able to know which temperature is better in my house whether it’s cold or warm outside has allowed me to save money and energy.
