I have lived in absolutely warm and absolutely freezing climates.
I have experienced a snowstorm, two hurricanes, a flood, a tornado and about every type of drastic weather that you can feel of. I constantly seem to have to adjust my home when it comes to facing these types of weather conditions. When there’s a hurricane I like to take all of the furniture away from the windows. I like to board up my windows with wood. During a snowstorm I make sure that my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system is prepped and ready to go to take on the winner. I don’t want to have to be stuck in the middle of a snowstorm and have no heat in my home for a few days because my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system failed on me. When there was a flood I had to make sure that I moved my overpriced and most pressing items of mine to my second floor of my home. During a tornado I had to make sure that my windows were all boarded up and my family and I were protected and safe. My pal and I would go downstairs in our basement and stay away from windows and doors and hide in the corner, facing these unusual weather conditions have allowed me to become more proficiencyable about my home. For example I have been much more proficiencyable with my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system since I’ve had to program my temperature control to match the weather conditions outside. Being able to know which temperature is better in my dwelling whether it’s freezing or warm outside has allowed me to save money and energy.
