My condo uses a heat pump system for both heating plus cooling. I simply need to press a button to change between the two settings. Since I updated to a smart temperature control, even that is easier. I like my system plus it does a great job, even though I am hopeful that it dies soon. The reason is that I don’t like that I have the benefit of a heat pump, but it is connected through an air duct. I constantly have issues with dirty plus dry air quality. That is due to the air going through the ducts; Once my system fails, I will change it to a ductless model. I want every room of the home to have its own indoor air handler with a temperature control. They will be connected to one outdoor air compressor plus that is it. With this type of heat pump replacement, I can have Heating plus A/C zone control. I want my son’s room to be the ideal temperature range for babies. I want my family room a little warmer plus I know my partner wants his room freezing cold. I additionally have a laundry room plus second bathroom that doesn’t need heating plus cooling most of the year. Why am I paying to supply temperature control there? This is my long-range plan. Sadly my heat pump is currently only around 7 years old. I still have around another ten years left. So anytime there is a slight mishap, I call for heat pump repair plus it gets the job done. Once it no longer can be fixed, I will absolutely be enthusiastic about upgrading to a nicer model.
