I can still remember one of the worst Christmases I have ever had in my life.
One Christmas we woke up to a freezing home.
We all woke up in our beds completely shivering. We had no idea why our house was so cold. Our house was so incredibly cold that we all had to put on layers before we went anywhere else in the house. We did not know how to make the house warmer. The first thing I did was check the thermostat in our house. We had to make sure that it was working. That is where the source of heat would come from. When we checked the thermostat it definitely did not work for us. We could not change anything on the thermostat. It was working the night before. Now all of a sudden it was not working. We even tried to turn the thermostat off and on again. We had even tried to reset it. However nothing was working for us. We also knew that no HVAC company was open that day. No HVAC company would be open on Christmas. So we thought we were going to have to suffer all day long in our cold house. However we contacted some family members and they invited us over for Christmas. We packed up all our presents and everything and headed over there right away. We did not want to spend the day in a very cold house. That was one of the worst Christmas mornings I have ever had. I hope that never happens to us or to anyone else ever again.
