I have lived in easily hot and easily cold temperatures.
I have experienced a snowstorm, two hurricanes, a flood, a tornado and about every type of extreme weather that you can guess of. I always seem to have to adjust my condo when it comes to facing these types of weather conditions. When there’s a hurricane I like to take all of the furniture away from the windows. I like to board up my windows with wood. During a snowstorm I make sure that my Heating and A/C system is prepped and ready to go to take on the winner. I don’t want to have to be stuck in the middle of a snowstorm and have no heat in my condo for a few days because my Heating and A/C system failed on me. When there was a flood I had to make sure that I moved my costly and most crucial items of mine to my second floor of my home. During a tornado I had to make sure that my windows were all boarded up and my family and I were protected and safe. We would go downstairs in our basement and stay away from windows and doors and hide in the corner; Facing these different weather conditions have allowed me to become more comprehensionable about my home. For example I have been much more comprehensionable with my Heating and A/C system since I’ve had to program my thermostat to match the weather conditions outside. Being able to know which temperature is better in my apartment whether it’s cold or hot outside has allowed me to save money and energy.
