I’ve tried talking to management about the incredibly uncomfortable temperature control settings, but they told me it’s an HR issue
Someday in the future, people are going to look back at this point in time & wonder how my pal and I live such odd an artificial lives. They’re going to be amazed that every afternoon if my pal and I could wake up, force ourselves out of bed, & lay in a vehicle for an hour on the way to work. They will be beside themselves when they realize that my pal and I sat in communal buildings, sharing the same indoor air & even desk periodically, to do our work. They will absolutely think that my pal and I were severely foolish for forcing such unpleasant & unproductive conditions on our workers. I would have to agree with the sentiment. If you have not worked in an office, you aren’t missing out. It’s nonsensical to cram diverse humans into one uncomfortable space & ask them to accomplish wonderful things. For instance, my office these days is brutally cold every afternoon when I come in. Most of the office workers are irritated with this ridiculous a/c abuse, but none of us can do anything about the unpleasant indoor conditions. My buddy and I have to lay at our desks & endure the inappropriate cooling system settings. Somehow, we’re supposed to be productive & highly efficient while chilly our butts off & shivering in our seats. I’ve tried talking to management about the incredibly uncomfortable temperature control settings, but they told me it’s an HR issue. There’s nothing they can do about the unpleasant indoor air temperature, because there are various people in the office with health issues. After prying a bit further, I realized that she was talking about keeping the entire office cold for the two menopausal ladies who lay on the opposite side of the office.
