Beach weather is the worst.
I know that is crazy to hear someone say but it really is.
Sand gets everywhere. The breeze is unpredictable and just brings even more sand. The worst part is that the humidity in the air is twice as bad by the beach as they are further inland. My parents own a condo right on the edge of the beach. When I was younger I adored going to visit every day and be able to go from the sandy shore to a relaxing house. Now I despise going. Not because of the weather, but because I am constantly having to empty the two humidifiers my parents purchased in hopes of making the house less muggy. These humidifiers are about the size of a small child and do a very good job of making sure the air inside the condo is pleasant and doesn’t make you feel sticking after being outside in the water all day. That being said the amount of water they collect is unbelievable! Twice a day, sometimes three depending on how humid it is, I am emptying the containers of water. I have pleaded with my parents to try and find a better way to get rid of the excess water in the air but they swear up and down that this is the best way to do so without going crazy on their bank account. I just think they enjoy the free labor of me emptying the containers for them while they’re out sunbathing and surfing the day away.
