Waited too long, no HVAC techs for my furnace

Sometimes I can be a bit of a procrastinator.

I acknowledge that there are pros and cons to this manner of living.

If you like to always be prepared for things, you probably couldn’t stand to live the way that I do. However, if you like to get things done with a sense of purpose and pressure, then procrastinating can be a very useful tool to light a motivational fire under your butt. In my experience, it pays to wait things out once in a while rather than jumping on them right away. At least, this is what I was hoping would happen when it came to my central heating and cooling system last year. Towards the end of the winter I noticed that my forced air furnace was not performing up to par anymore. It seemed like my energy bills were always climbing higher and yet my indoor air temperature was never comfortable. I was continually adjusting the thermostat and trying to get more hot, treated indoor air to pass through my central HVAC system. I knew that I probably needed to have a full furnace inspection if not a repair service. However, I thought it would make sense to wait until the next winter season rolls around before I bothered to arrange a professional heating, cooling, and air quality control appointment. Of course, by the time I did call my favorite heating and cooling repair shop I realized I had made a huge mistake. All of their HVAC technicians were now scheduled out for the season. My procrastination caused me to wait an extra month before my furnace could finally be professionally inspected.
