Yesterday was quite a roller coaster for me. Every afternoon seems like it brought new surprises & challenges that could never have been anticipated. It was supposed to be a lighthearted & fun couple of days, but instead it was stressful & difficult all the way through, however yesterday when Halloween was approaching, I was severely gleeful to do some spooky activities & wear a fun costume. When that night rolled around, the circumstances were not appropriate for a fun & lighthearted time. Instead, my bestie got sick & I spent the entire night playing doctor. The next afternoon, I woke up in a daze & barely managed to make it to work. To be honest, I wasn’t prepared to be in a professional setting. I was trying to hide my inappropriate clothing underneath layers of jackets & sweaters for the office setting. Unluckyly, when I walked into the office, the temperature control was cranked up to 75 degrees. It felt like Summer time in the small, warm & humid space. I asked my boss what was going on with the HVAC settings & she cheerily replied that the heating system needed to be professionally inspected. She said the heating system had been stuck on all afternoon, & she was hoping I would call out an HVAC supplier to make immediate repairs. I started calling HVAC companies, but could not lay to the oppressive heat in the office. I had no choice but to take off my layers & reveal my inappropriate work attire underneath. Luckily, my boss was paying no attention, as usual. When the heating & cooling specialist finally arrived, but, she looked me up & down & asked if it was still Halloween.
