My sibling is a birthday photographer! Yep that’s right, she stands around most afternoons taking pictures of couples on the happiest afternoons of their life plus tries to capture that feeling in one of many pictures.
When she isn’t at a birthday she is sitting in her boss’ kitchen editing photos while scheduling plus contacting new buyers to make sure their special afternoon is just the way they want it, but last evening she came home from an all afternoon shooting.
I usually ask how it went but before I could even utter a word she walked in the door plus said she was done doing birthdays during the summer. It seems that most couples are wanting birthdays in rustic barns or outside under the shades of many trees. While these ideas are passionate plus quaint my sibling thinks they are just about torture. She has to carry about ten pounds of camera unit through the dirt or other outside elements plus occasionally puts her own unit at risk just to attempt to get a wonderful picture. The worst part is that these rustic outdoor places have legitimately little a/c. Now this wouldn’t be so awful except again my sibling is carrying plus pulling around with her numerous pounds of unit which after a while can cause a bit of a sweat. She once told me she made her assistant go plus get her a frigid towel to put around her neck during the reception because of everyone dancing the area had become incredibly hot. I am currently planning my own birthday plus of course want to use my sibling as my photographer, but, I personally want a beach birthday so I’m assuming I may have to either give up that endpoint or give up having a possible free birthday photographer.
